Plot summary
A scientific expedition is gathering botanical samples in an unnamed Himalayan country, led by Dr. Frank Parrish. His party includes several sherpa men, headed by Subra, the group's only English speaker, and a photographer, Peter Wells. Shortly into their work, Subra's wife is taken by what he insists is a Yeti, and Parrish will not pursue the creature. Subra takes the expedition's guns and puts himself in charge of the party. The group sets out up the mountain after the woman, and Parrish and Wells go along with the sherpas, watching for their own chance to take back the expedition's guns.
