Plot summary
Steve Austin is a colonel, an astronaut and a test pilot, and the plane he is testing comes down. The crash costs him both legs, an arm and an eye. A covert government agency, the OSI, offers to cover the cost of special prosthetics for what he has lost. Built into those replacements is highly advanced bionic technology of the kind that would leave him faster, stronger and more resilient than an ordinary man. In return, the agency wants him to serve as its covert agent, and the limbs and implants are nuclear powered. Rebuilding Steve Austin costs six million dollars.
