Plot summary
A single performer moves among many characters: Trudy the bag lady, Agnus Angst, Kate, Brandy, Tina, Chrissy, Lud, Marie, Vince, Edie, Lynn and Marge. Trudy opens the show and gives the collection its shape. The pieces look unconnected at first, and her way of seeing draws them toward one another. The material is comic and carries feminist ideas, and the film keeps to the stage performance as it was given.
