Plot summary
Ethan, a college student, has built ELI, an apparatus meant to generate wireless electricity. He and Hannah, his girlfriend, sneak into a university lab to run it, and the draw on power blacks out the campus. Word comes the next morning that Richard and Lila, his mother and father, have died in a traffic accident. Ethan returns to the family house to look after his younger brother Matt and his little sister Becca, and keeps working on the machine in the garage. Each time he turns it on, the three of them notice strange occurrences around the house, and Becca speaks of an invisible friend named Alice. Ethan comes to believe that his mother and father are trying to reach them. Their neighbor Tom, a widower, helps rewire the house's electricity to give the device more power.

- Director Anthony Scott Burns left Our House during post-production over creative differences, and Electric Youth members Austin Garrick and Bronwyn Griffin, who had collaborated with him on the film, left the project soon afterwards.
- Burns, while promoting his later film Come True, confirmed the production disputes on Our House and said that he lost all of his representation after quitting the film.
- In June 2017, the band Electric Youth announced an album, Breathing, based on a "lost" film of the same name; the band had worked with Burns on a version of Our House meant to "reinvent the horror genre" that was changed completely in post production.
- Sales of the DVD and Blu-ray releases of Our House, the 2018 horror film directed by Anthony Scott Burns, came to $1,732.
