Plot summary
Two agents sent to a reported flying saucer landing in rural Iowa vanish soon after they arrive, so Andrew Nivens, who heads a secret CIA branch that looks into aliens, travels to the crash site himself. He brings his son Sam, the agent Jarvis and Mary Sefton, who studies alien life for NASA. The site is now dressed up as a tourist attraction, and the people around it show no emotion. Mary tests a local television manager by acting provocatively, and he ignores her completely. The team captures a slug-like creature attached to a man's back, and townspeople try to stop them getting to their plane.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about The Puppet Masters (1994)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- The Puppet Masters went through a number of rewrites because the writers, Terry Rossio and Ted Elliott, wanted to stay faithful to Robert A. Heinlein's novel, while Disney executives wanted an adaptation they could sell.
- More rewrites were driven by cost saving: the Heinlein novel's futuristic setting was replaced with a contemporary one, and the film was distanced from derivative works such as the Body Snatchers adaptations.
