Plot summary
At the international tribunal in The Hague that hears war crimes from the former Yugoslavia, Milorad Krstić stands accused of atrocities committed as a commander during the Bosnian war. His defender, Michael Finn, has answered every charge brought against him. The prosecutor, Catherine Lagrange, is convinced of Krstić's guilt, and she produces a young man named Deyan whose testimony incriminates the accused. Deyan says his parents abandoned him as a child and that he served among Krstić's soldiers. Finn sets out to check the witness's account and comes across the young man's family. The story is inspired by true events.
