Plot summary
It is Ramshead, his butler, who tells Roger Cavendish that his money has run out. The pair spot a notice in a newspaper from Professor Ernest Belman, a scientist who is looking for help, and they telephone to arrange a meeting. Belman has constructed a female robot named Olga, modeled on his niece, Penelope, and he wants Cavendish and Ramshead to watch over the machine for one week. The job includes giving the perfect woman an evening out on the town. Belman adds one condition to their task: the word love must never be said in front of the robot.
