Plot summary
It is 20 December 1989 in Romania. Securitate officer Ionut works the student campus, hunting counter-revolutionary elements, and keeps an eye on Laurentiu, whose father Stefan runs the stage at the national television station. The army has put down a protest in Timisoara, and the news reports little about it. Stefan's New Year special is already filmed, but its actress has defected, so the crew plans to re-shoot her close-up with a lookalike: theater actress Florina, who is frantic because she cannot get her ex-boyfriend in Timisoara on the telephone. Factory worker Gelu is told to take colleagues to a house marked for demolition, where Margareta lives. She wants to stay and asks him to fix her windows.
