Plot summary
Fifth-grader Andy Steele and his best friend Dulce Gutierrez run schemes together, most recently lifting confiscated toys from their school to sell back to kids. On Christmas morning Andy finds no video game console and Dulce no bow and arrow set, and their tech-savvy friend Lewis Sobong works out from his internet algorithm that both are on Santa's naughty list. Andy thinks Santa's selectiveness has gone too far. Lewis narrows the other naughty-listers to locals: Ha-Yoon Si-u, Rose Wingert, Jon Anthony Dizon, Albert Reyes and Bethany. A pilot named Bruno, who says he once saw Santa's reindeer on a cargo flight, agrees to take them to the North Pole. Bethany backs out, and Andy recruits his sister Laurel in her place.
