Plot summary
A safari guide in colonial southern Africa leads an investor and his crew on an elephant hunt through the veldt. When the group crosses territory held by a local tribe, a toll is demanded, and the investor refuses to pay and knocks the tribal leader down. No retribution comes at once, and the expedition moves on. Warriors, armed with spears, later find the hunters' camp and capture the party. The men are put to death one after another, and the guide is held for last. Stripped bare, he is given a head start on foot, and a group of warriors takes up the chase through the bush.
