Plot summary
Ma di Tau is a lioness in Botswana's Okavango Delta who lives apart from any pride. She must keep her two cubs alive without support, contending with a barrage of enemies and other dangers. Her best chance is to make it to Duba Island, but that crossing brings no guarantee of safety. The delta remains one of the few wild places where lions can still live. As their range shrinks and hunting pressure grows, the animals move closer to vanishing.
