Plot summary
Primo and Georgina inherit a house from Georgina's guardian, Tita Lola, who asks the two of them to look after each other and the home. They move in together and start fixing up the place while sharing plans for the future. Primo works toward a career as an Original Pilipino Music musician, and Georgina studies medicine, hoping to become a doctor. Georgina admires his passion and his commitment to his dreams. As the years pass, his repeated shortcomings put pressure on the relationship, and the couple faces the difficulties of a long-term partnership and the hard realities of daily life.

- Within five days the film set two records: the highest single-day gross for a local film, ₱82.4 million on September 2, 2018, and the most cinemas opened for a local film, 435, that same day.
- The Hows of Us took ₱35.9 million on its first day and ₱279.5 million five days later, the biggest opening weekend of a Filipino film of all time.
