Plot summary
Fabietto Schisa is a teenager in Naples in the 1980s, living with his parents Saverio and Maria, his brother Marchino and his sister Daniela. Their peace is shattered: his aunt Patrizia faces abuse from her husband, Marchino's hopes for an acting career falter when an audition fails, and Maria discovers Saverio's infidelity. News that Diego Maradona is joining Napoli brings hope and joy to the city, and Fabietto takes solace in the player. Saverio and Maria reconcile and purchase a villa in Roccaraso for the family's vacations. When his parents invite him to join them for a weekend there, Fabietto declines so he can attend a Napoli-Empoli match.
