Plot summary
Zoe Tuazon, a rich, aggressive girl, and Aica Tabayoyong, a poor, nearsighted student with teenage acne, take an entrance exam at a school that turns them down. Both instead enroll at St. Therese of Avila School, where Zoe is punished for raising the Big Bang Theory in religion class and Aica is mocked by her music teacher and classmates. The two outcasts become friends and plague the school together, poisoning the drinking water and rigging a trap for the religion teacher. In high school they compete for valedictorian honors, and Zoe's mother presses her to look for a weakness in Aica. Mark Ferrer, a campus athlete, arrives, and Aica falls for him.
