Plot summary

Tod and Copper chase a cricket until trucks arrive with the county fair. Copper hears dogs singing from an old school bus painted The Singin' Strays. His clumsy tracking disappoints his master, Amos Slade, who ties the pup in the yard and goes to the fair with Chief. Tod pulls off the collar, and the two friends head to the fairgrounds. There they meet the band: Dixie, a Saluki; Cash, a Spanish Hound; Granny Rose; and the bloodhound twins Waylon and Floyd. A talent scout from the Grand Ole Opry is expected, so the show matters.
