Plot summary
Gambir is a sculptor whose lifecasts of pregnant women bring him acclaim. He has gotten Talyda Sasongko pregnant, and at an abortion clinic a man speaks of the guilt that stayed with him and his wife. Gambir cuts open the belly of a piece he has made and places the fetus, Arjasa, inside it so the work looks alive. He and Talyda marry and the sculpture becomes his most praised piece, but Jimmy, the gallery owner, warns that a change of subject would expose it and bring charges against them both. Talyda says the locked door in their house is hers alone to enter and that opening it would ruin their marriage. Notes asking for help begin to appear in various places, and when Dandung comes out of the Herosase building, he makes Gambir a member.
