Plot summary

News arrives that a place has been found for Eva at an assisted living residence, after six years in a psychiatric hospital in Palma and a year of waiting. The move is her chance at the normal life she longs for, and she takes her first steps toward it, looking for a job and an income of her own, visiting her mother, and perhaps finding love. She also takes stock of her past and works at trusting the world outside. What she wants most is to see her son, whom she has not had custody of for twenty years, and to ask for his forgiveness.
