Plot summary
Colt Seavers doubles for action star Tom Ryder until a stunt breaks his back and he walks away from the work and from the camerawoman he left behind, Jody Moreno. Months later he is parking cars at a Mexican restaurant when Gail Meyer, producer of a space opera called Metalstorm, calls him to Sydney. Jody is directing the film, her first, and she never asked for him. She is still angry about how he left. Gail then tells him that Tom has disappeared after trouble with dangerous people and that the production will collapse if the star is not found. Colt agrees to look for him.
