Plot summary
Mangu washes clothes in Azadnagar and wishes for fame and wealth; his uncle Pehelwan Chacha tells him to give up such hopes, while his father's spirit encourages him. Big Cats rule the land and live off the herbivores, and the protests of the others change nothing. Delivering laundry to the castle, Mangu meets Miss Fitna, the king's senior adviser. King Badshah Khan wants to hand the crown to his self-absorbed son, Shahzada Khan; Fitna stirs the animals against it, so the king calls a democracy, sure that nobody will challenge his son. Fitna and her helpers hunt for a candidate and remember the simple donkey. Mangu joins the race after his father's encouragement, and he and Shahzada court the public with press talks and rap battles.
