Plot summary
When England and Spain make peace, the notorious pirate Henry Morgan reforms and is named Governor of Jamaica, tasked with clearing the Caribbean of his old comrades. Neither the settlers nor the pirates trust the new governor. He asks his former captains to abandon their trade and sail for England. Jamie Waring and his lieutenant Tom Blue agree out of friendship for Morgan, but Billy Leech and Wogan will not. Waring is drawn to Lady Margaret Denby, the daughter of the former governor Lord Denby, who is engaged to the English gentleman Roger Ingram. The Jamaican assembly is angry about the rogue pirates, so Morgan sends Waring after Leech.
