Plot summary
Near the end of the Second World War in the Philippines, a murderer named Joseph Langdon is pulled back from death by Satan and bound to serve him as a disciple. Over the next twenty-five years Satan sends him into one body after another, drawing out the evil in the people he lives among, and he carries out the devil's work. He now wears the body and the face of Philip Rogers. Langdon wants to exercise his own will instead of Satan's, and the struggle turns him into a hairy, murderous beast. By day his wife Julia and his brother Earl try to comfort him.

- Producer Kane W. Lynn tried to get the distribution rights to John Ashley's next horror film, but Ashley and his company Four Associates Ltd. put up the money to produce it in the Philippines and instead made a deal with Roger Corman's then-fledgling New World Pictures.
- The success of Beast of the Yellow Night led Roger Corman to make a series of films in the Philippines, among them The Big Doll House.
- John Ashley said he used a double for the monster in long shots of Beast of the Yellow Night, but the scenes where the beast was talking were played by him.
- John Ashley later became a producer on The A-Team television series, and made a cameo in an episode as a backer of a horror film called The Beast of the Yellow Night.
