Plot summary
In Bali, friends gather for Allan Karlsson's 101st birthday, and he offers Miriam and Julius the last bottle of Folksoda, a carbonated drink he came up with while he was a double agent in the 1970s. His pet capuchin Erlander empties it instead. The only remaining recipe, Allan says, is stored in Berlin at Amanda Einstein's place, and Amanda invites him to collect it, so he, Julius and Gäddan set off for the airport. During the flight a stewardess opens his carry-on and Erlander escapes, forcing an emergency landing in Moscow. There Stirna, who holds Allan responsible for the theft of the formula from her late father Popov, begins hunting him, and Bas, whose brother Pim lost fifty million dollars to Allan, heads for Moscow too.
