Plot summary

TFW No GF began as an internet meme abbreviation for having no girlfriend, and the words grew into a shorthand for isolation, rejection and alienation. Five men of the incel and Frogtwitter subcultures speak on camera. Viddy and Charels are brothers; Kyle is a Texan who discusses his emotions in a cowboy hat and denims; Sean is a shy powerlifter who lives in his mother's apartment; Kantbot posts on internet forums. The men talk against a backdrop of suburban streets, play video games and post online. The film has no strict narrative structure, mixing interviews with tweets, forum screenshots and definitions of online terms. No experts, cultural critics or family members are interviewed. The men describe themselves as NEET, not in education, employment or training, a term the film sets against the 2008 financial crisis.
