Plot summary
Jim Williams is the rookie officer at the center of a 1988 police training tape, held up throughout as the perfect policeman. The footage survives as a lost VHS instructional video. Jim takes on a domestic violence case, and instead of working it the way his training sets out, he handles the matter himself, outside the law. The choice leaves him in over his head.
