Plot summary
Elena and Iván are preparing to begin a new chapter of their life. They give up Barcelona and settle in the Catalan countryside, where the cork oak plantation they have inherited is now theirs to run. The plantation is meant to pay for their living, and the pair want to work it in a fair and sustainable way. They move in as outsiders among the people who work the cork, both those from the area and those who have come from elsewhere, and the tension between those two groups keeps rising. Before long the couple face a crisis that puts their project and their relationship at risk.
