Plot summary
At fifteen, Ninako Kinoshita has not loved anyone before. A meeting on a train brings her into the company of Ren Ichinose, the quiet boy who is the most popular student at their high school. The two become friends, and Ren is patient and kind with her, nothing like the unapproachable figure his classmates see. Ninako falls in love with him and tells him how she feels. Ren already has a longtime girlfriend, so the two promise to stay friends, and Ninako must cope with that. Other boys at school confess their feelings to her, and she rejects each of them.
