Plot summary
Evelyn Santos has left the Philippines to work in Hong Kong as a domestic helper, caring for Leung Cheong-wing, a paralyzed man who has given up hope. She is a former nurse, and she has put her dream of becoming a photographer on hold to earn a living in the city. The two strangers share one roof, and as the seasons pass they come to know one another and themselves better.
