Something Beneath (2007) on Netflix

Plot summary

On the Cedar Gates Conference Center construction site, a worker touches black slime exposed by newly broken ground and is seized by a hallucination. A year later the center opens and hosts an ecological conference. The Episcopalian priest Father Douglas Middleton leads it and meets the manager, Symes, and the event coordinator, Khali Spence. The keynote speaker, Middleton's friend Eugene Herman, disappears from the woods nearby, and Middleton alerts Khali. She and the head of security, Jackson Deadmarsh, check Eugene's room, where two maintenance men are hunting a pipe blockage that is disrupting the building. Middleton and Deadmarsh have a troubled history: the priest once sued him over a wrongful arrest on false evidence.
