Plot summary
Two mafia groups hold Shibpur, one under Nepal Bhattacharya and the other under Tapan Barik, who controls the fish markets of the district. Sultan Ahmed is posted as superintendent of police of Howrah district by the chief minister of the day, with orders to restore law and order there. Mandira Biswas loses her husband in a gang war. Finding no justice, since the police and the goons are tied to each other, she takes up arms herself. Tapan Barik sees her potential and backs her against Nepal. A political journalist with a leading news channel pieces her story together: a housewife who came to dominate the area and then went missing in the late 1990s, never found.
