Plot summary
The vaquita is the smallest whale in the world, a porpoise that stands close to extinction. Mexican cartels and the Chinese mafia destroy its habitat as they harvest the totoaba, a fish whose swim bladder sells as the cocaine of the sea in a trade worth millions. Sea Shepherd activists, marine scientists, the Mexican Navy and undercover investigators pull gillnets, do research and push back against the traffickers.
