Plot summary
Twelve travelers on a rafting trip down the Rio Grande stop for the night in a ghost town. Around midnight on their first night there, three of the group are killed: Allen is found hanged, and Ross and John are cut down with a cleaver. The next morning the nine left alive find their rubber rafts slashed apart, so they must spend another night in the empty ghost town. Two youths on dirt bikes turn up, and the guide Jerry rides off with one of them to seek help at a ranch more than thirty miles away, and Bob takes charge of the group that remains.
