Plot summary
FBI agent Peter Strahm survives a trap that seals his head inside a water-filled box. Detective Mark Hoffman is promoted for closing the Jigsaw case, and a note left in his office claims that someone knows who he is. Put on medical leave by his boss, Dan Erickson, Strahm grows suspicious of Hoffman and gathers files on earlier Jigsaw victims. In an underground sewer, Ashley, Brit, Charles, Luba and Mallick wake with collars around their necks, each joined by a cable to blades mounted on a wall. The keys that open the collars sit in glass boxes across the room. A videotape tells the five that they are linked and that acting against their instincts is the only way all of them can survive the tests ahead.
