Plot summary
John Hebron works undercover and has been drinking since the underground operation that killed his wife and daughter, and so he turns to Father Porter, a priest he came to know after that night. A young man named Mike, defecting from the heroin trade, leaves Angel, his five-year-old sister, with John. The priest has trouble of his own, because violent thieves have stripped the statues from his church, and he asks John to help him with that. When Angel is taken into an underground drug ring, John sets out to bring her back, and Father Porter helps him.

- Sacrifice is set in Los Angeles and Toronto, but the production team dressed the streets of Ottawa to look like those cities. The shoot was kept outside Toronto because of provincial tax breaks offered to filmmakers working elsewhere in Ontario.
