Wally Albright
Biography
Wally Albright was an American actor who began appearing in movies as an infant and, by the time he was three, had already built a name for himself in small parts for Hal Roach Studios. Born in Burbank, he worked alongside Gloria Swanson in a 1928 film. He was best known for Our Gang, appearing in six of its short subjects in the early 1930s, most often as the gang's leader opposite Matthew Beard. He made his debut in that series with the 1934 short Hi Neighbor and grew into one of its most prominent members, though he chose to step away and go back to an ordinary childhood. He also turned up briefly in The Grapes of Wrath, as a migrant camp youngster. Albright later became a champion in water sports and ran a produce shipping business. He died in 1999.
