Vic Armstrong

Vic Armstrong is a British stunt performer, stunt coordinator, second unit director and film director. He began in an episode of Steptoe and Son before doubling for Harrison Ford across the first three Indiana Jones films. He also doubled for Timothy Dalton in Flash Gordon and George Lazenby in the Swiss Alps skiing scenes of On Her Majesty's Secret Service. His horse-to-tank stunt in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade ranked among the top ten film stunts in a 2002 poll. He handled action sequences for several James Bond movies, and he also worked on War of the Worlds and on I Am Legend, while directing the opening scene of Terminator 2: Judgment Day. His directorial debut was Joshua Tree in 1993, and he later worked as second unit director on The Amazing Spider-Man. He received a Technical Achievement Academy Award in 2001 and the BAFTA Michael Balcon Award in 2002.
