Trevor Goddard

Trevor Goddard was an English actor whose screen work included martial arts and action films and television, and he often played Australian characters. Born in Croydon, London, in 1962, he first appeared in small and cameo television roles before 1995. That year he played Kano in Mortal Kombat (1995), a performance that later shaped the video game character's development, though his accent was taken as Australian and led to Kano being portrayed that way in future installments. He went on to appear in Men of War (1994) as the main villain Keefer, opposite Dolph Lundgren and Catherine Bell, and in Deep Rising (1998) as a short-tempered mercenary. On television he played Lieutenant Commander Mic Brumby in JAG. His other films included Gone in Sixty Seconds and Hollywood Vampyr. He died in 2003, the year of his final on-screen appearance in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
