Biography

Tony Nikolakopoulos is an Australian actor who works in film, theater and television and was born in Melbourne, Victoria. He spent five years at Rusden College, now Deakin University, completing a Bachelor of Education, then returned to teach drama and direct productions for six years. Acting became his focus again when he won his first feature role in the critically acclaimed 1998 drama Head On, playing Dimitri, the father of Alex Dimitriades's character. He originated Theo in The Wog Boy (2000) and reprised the part in The Kings of Mykonos (2010) and Wog Boys Forever (2022). His other films include Kangaroo Jack (2003). On television, he was Attilio in Scooter: Secret Agent, Cannonball Bob in Pirate Islands: The Lost Treasure of Fiji and Nils Jesper in Wentworth from 2014 to 2016. He has also acted in theater and directed more than a hundred stage productions.
