Terence Beesley
Biography
Terence Beesley was an English actor who trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art after attending the City Lit in London in 1980. He was born in London. His television work ranged across British series, and in 1996 he played Derek Branning in EastEnders. He also took the role of General Bennigsen in the BBC's War and Peace. On stage he took the title role in Shakespeare's Richard III in 1995 and played Valmont in Les Liaisons Dangereuses in 1994, directed by Mark Clements. With Colin Wakefield he adapted Nikolai Gogol's Diary of a Madman into a one-man play for the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester. He helped found the Triptych Theatre Company with Jonathan Church and Jules Melvin. He died in 2017.
