Susan Penhaligon
Biography
Susan Penhaligon is a British actress and writer who trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art and began in theater as Juliet at the Connaught Theatre in Worthing. Born in Manila and raised partly in Cornwall, she became known for the drama series Bouquet of Barbed Wire and later played Helen Barker in the sitcom A Fine Romance. Her films include No Sex Please, We're British (1973), The Land That Time Forgot (1974), House of Mortal Sin (1976), The Uncanny (1977), Count Dracula (1977), in which she played Lucy Westenra, and Patrick (1978). She appeared in Emmerdale as Jean Hope in 2006 and has had a substantial stage career, with West End roles in The Real Thing and Three Sisters, and in 2008 she published the novel For the Love of Angel.
