Biography

Steve Wiebe is an American video game player who twice held the world record for Donkey Kong and is one of the subjects of the documentary The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters (2007). Born in Seattle, Washington, he was the first person to reach a score above one million points on Donkey Kong, which he did on July 4, 2004. Earlier, he worked as a testing and analysis engineer at Boeing from 1996 to 1999 and later in software testing at Bsquare in Bellevue. On screen, he played Jim in Four Christmases (2008) and appeared as Thomas, Head of Security, in Horrible Bosses (2011). He also voiced a cartoon version of himself on Code Monkeys, took a role in Pixels, played Stephen Davidson in Sneaky Pete and discussed the documentary on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
