Shuler Hensley

Shuler Hensley is an American singer and actor who started stage work in the early 1990s, playing parts in On the Town, The Most Happy Fella, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Born in Atlanta and raised in Marietta, Georgia, he trained at the Manhattan School of Music and the Curtis Institute of Music. He played Jud Fry in a London production of Oklahoma!, continuing with the show in the West End and on Broadway; he earned an Olivier Award for the London run and later a Tony plus Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards. His Broadway work includes Young Frankenstein as the Monster, which brought Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations, and The Music Man. He also appeared in the film Van Helsing (2004) as Frankenstein's monster and starred in the Off Broadway production of The Whale. His other credits include The Phantom of the Opera in Hamburg and Sweet Charity.
