Robert Sampson

Robert Sampson was an American actor who began working on screen in 1954 with an appearance in the television series Meet Corliss Archer. Born in Los Angeles as the son of Roy Sampson, he spent much of his career in guest spots on series such as Gunsmoke, The Outer Limits, Star Trek: The Original Series, Mission: Impossible, Bonanza, Wonder Woman, Green Acres, The Jeffersons and Police Story. He was best known for playing Father Mike Fitzgerald, brother to Bridget Steinberg, on the CBS sitcom Bridget Loves Bernie, and he later had the recurring part of Sheriff Turk Tobias on the soap opera Falcon Crest. His film work included Re-Animator (1985), in which he played Dean Halsey, City of the Living Dead (1980), Robot Jox (1989) and The Dark Side of the Moon (1990), along with Mad Dog Coll and Mr. Ricco. He died in 2020.
