Plot summary

In 2022, a maintenance ship circles Earth so its crew can repair nuclear-armed satellites. A power failure no one can explain knocks out the ship's systems, and the vessel drifts toward the far side of the Moon while air and fuel run low. An aged NASA shuttle, the Discovery, floats into view, even though the agency has been closed for thirty years. Two crew members cross over to search for spare parts and instead come upon a body. The mission records of their own ship tie the abandoned shuttle to a craft lost in the Bermuda Triangle long ago, and the region of space where they are stranded corresponds to that earthly triangle. A malevolent presence is already aboard.
