Robert Livingston
Biography
Robert Livingston was an American film actor whose career spanned more than five decades, with credits in 136 films between 1921 and 1975. Born in Quincy, Illinois, he often worked under the billing Bob Livingston. He was among the original Three Mesquiteers and originated the role of Stony Brooke in that Western B-movie series, a part later taken by John Wayne for eight films. Livingston also took the role of Zorro in The Bold Caballero (1936) and played the Lone Ranger in the 1939 serial The Lone Ranger Rides Again, directed by William Witney and featuring Chief Thundercloud as Tonto. He later took the title role in The Lone Rider series, and the part had earlier belonged to George Houston.
