Philip Latham

Philip Latham was an English actor who became well known to British television viewers in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Born in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, he graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1951 and went on to play Willy Izard, the chief accountant in the BBC series The Troubleshooters from 1965 to 1972, and Plantagenet Palliser in the 26-part BBC series The Pallisers (1974). On film he played Dracula's servant Klove in Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966), having already appeared in Hammer's The Devil-Ship Pirates (1964). His other screen work included Ring of Spies (1964), Spy Story (1976), and Force 10 from Navarone (1978). He also played Lord President Borusa in Doctor Who: The Five Doctors (1983), and his television credits included Danger Man, The Avengers, UFO, The Saint, and Hammer House of Horror.
