Pauline Peart

Pauline Peart is a Jamaican actress and former model who became known for work in the Carry On and Hammer Horror films. Born in Jamaica, she won the Miss Jamaica title before moving to England in 1966. She began as an extra in The Firechasers (1971) and took early parts in Suburban Wives (1972) and Nobody Ordered Love (1972). Her breakthrough came as a vampire in the Hammer film The Satanic Rites of Dracula (1973), playing opposite Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee, after which she appeared in Carry On Girls (1973) and in the Man About the House spin-off (1974) as Arthur Lowe's secretary. Later films included Chandi Sona (1977), Cuba (1979), The Bunker (1981) and Antony and Cleopatra (1984). She had television roles in The Persuaders! and other series, and worked in theater. She stepped away from acting in the mid-1990s and returned to it after a break of almost thirty years.
