Mark Soper

Mark Soper is an actor and writer who first worked professionally with the Philadelphia Theatre Company, performing at the Walnut Street Theatre, and graduated from Swarthmore College. After moving to New York, he spent a season at Circle Repertory Theatre, then acted at Joe Papp's Public Theatre in the Obie-winning Nasty Rumors and Final Remarks. He appeared in many New York productions, including work at the Actor's Studio, American Place Theatre, and Roundabout Theatre. Regionally, he took the role of Chance Wayne at the Alley Theatre in Sweet Bird Of Youth and played Romeo at the Walnut Street Theatre, and later repeated Chance Wayne opposite Lauren Bacall. On film, he took the part of Michael Milton in the adaptation The World According to Garp (1982) and appeared in Tempest (1982). His television work included Galactica 1980 (1980), and he later wrote solo pieces such as An Age of Angels and formed IMC Productions with Ines Wurth.
