Biography
Marilyn Chris is an American actress who started her career in the 1950s with The Living Theatre. Born in Brooklyn, she trained at the High School of Performing Arts and City College of New York. Her first screen role was in Love with the Proper Stranger (1963). She is known for playing Wanda Webb Wolek on One Life to Live, the ABC soap opera, from 1972 to 1976 and again from 1980 to 1994. Her other films include The Honeymoon Killers (1970), The People Next Door (1970), Rhinoceros (1974), and The Black Marble (1980). Off-Broadway, she starred in Allen Ginsberg's Kaddish, earning an Obie Award, a Drama Desk Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award, and a Variety Critics Poll. She later appeared on Broadway in Brighton Beach Memoirs and guest starred on Law & Order.
