Marie Westbrook

Marie Westbrook is an American actress who took an unusual path to film. Born in Kellogg, Idaho, and raised in Soda Springs, she studied dance and gymnastics from age seven, then entered Utah State University as a dance major before earning a degree in physics and chemistry education. She waited tables, worked as a physics teaching assistant and laser beam operator, taught eighth grade science for a year, and even tested treadmills professionally. She made spoof commercials and plays with friends, modeled for the Provo Girl Pilsner label, and studied acting locally while finishing her degree. After appearing in independent shorts and student films, she was cast in Paradise with David Strathairn and Barbara Hershey. She moved to Los Angeles in fall 2005 and later took a lead alongside Ving Rhames in the supernatural thriller Evil Angel (2009). She also voiced characters for the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic.
