Marcus Hondro
Biography
Marcus Hondro is a Canadian actor who first spent many years playing drums in blues bands and made two albums in the 1980s before he turned to acting. He played oddballs and creeps, among them Biggie in the Chris Carter series Harsh Realm (1999) and the strange lawyer Darryl Shadely in Tail Lights Fade (1999). He also took ordinary parts, though he said he liked the weird characters best. Vancouver's professional theater awards, the Jessies, nominated him in 2002 and 2003. On stage his favorite roles included Owen Musser, the comically sleazy character in Larry Shue's The Foreigner, and a Metis trapper in Wawatay, a Canadian play. Hondro also wrote scripts for television, performed in plays of his own, and published short stories, and he was part of the improv comedy company The Vancouver Theatre Sports League.
